This is now the fourth year that Paul has had the privilege of organizing and leading a team of students from the Word of Life New York Bible Institute. But this was the first time that Jill was able to help. Her contribution made things even greater than previous years. This pictured team from New York was in Hungary for 8 days. They were taking part in a WOL course entitled Missions Reality. So it was our goal to give them exposure to as many different ministries as possible in the context of missions. This course was intended to help them experience and discern whether the Lord would have them serve overseas indefinitely. Well, we had a great week! Some of the ministries we organized and led included: Open Air Evangelism, Local Church Ministry, Orphanage Ministry, Drama Ministry, Children's Club, Sports Outreach, Teaching English as a Second Language, Gospel Youth Rally and works of service. During their 8 days here the Gospel was presented to many, and we are very excited to report that 27 people placed their faith in Christ for salvation! Praise the Lord! Although by the end of the week we were extremely exhausted, it was so fulfilling to realize all the ministry that took place, and that so many heard and received the Gospel message.
Paul's primary responsibilities are in the classroom as a Bible Teacher and in the office as the Academic Dean. However, we love the opportunities that we have to interact and "teach" outside of the classroom. After all, the vast majority of teaching takes place in informal environments. This past quarter our front door was much like a revolving door. It has been a great pleasure for us to have students and staff over weekly. Pictured above is one such event, where Jill hosted a fellowship for several of our female students. We also greatly enjoy the times where we are able to host guest lecturers that offer their time and resources to teach our students. This past quarter we were greatly blessed to have one of Paul's favorite professors from seminary in our home, Dr. Stanley Toussaint. Dr. Toussaint taught our students the book of Matthew. A picture of us with Dr. Stanley and Maxine Toussaint can be found in our picture album.
Graduation day is always full of mixed emotions. It is wonderful to see our students accomplish all the requirements to graduate and move out to make an eternal impact in the lives of their countrymen. What a joy that is! Yet, we also experience sadness as we know for some we may not see again this side of eternity. Graduation took place last Saturday. We are committed to pray for these graduates and we are very excited to hear of all that they will accomplish for God's glory in their respective countries. Please join with me in prayer for them as they move out into ministry. You can watch a portion of the graduation ceremony on our Videos  web page.
Although Paul is very acquainted with the classroom and is accustomed to leading in the classroom, beginning Monday our role reverses. We will become the students not the teachers. We will be taking nine weeks of intensive language study. This is very important and we need your prayers! It is Paul's goal to be teaching in Hungarian starting the 2009-2010 school year. Jill is also feeling the great need to be able to communicate at a higher level in the village, at the marketplace, and of course with Hungarian students that do not know English well. We realize that this linguistic barrier limits our ministry capability. Please pray with us and for us as we seek to master the difficult Hungarian language!

Jill has now begun a blog. She has been writing down her experiences in the garden, in the village, in the marketplace, and in the home. She updates this weekly and you can visit it any time at the following link: http://www.jillweaver.blogspot.com

You can watch and listen to the personal testimonies of our students. We have videoed three of our graduating students so that you can get to know them: The Muntean family (from Romania) as well as Sam (from Albania). We hope to be able to do this periodically so you can see the faces and hear the testimonies of those who we serve and for whom you are praying. You can see these videos by clicking here  or on the video tab to the left.

Please also remember to pray for the following requests:

1. Our Students, please remember to pray for our students as they embark upon a life-time of ministry. Pray that God will use them in remarkable ways for His glory.

2.  Our Language Skills, please pray that we are able to quickly learn this very difficult language.

3.  Our Finances/Support, Since our arrival to Hungary in February the value of the dollar has gone down 13%, which amounts to a pay cut of 13%.  In addition to this the cost of living continues to increase. The price of a gallon of gas is approximately $7.32.  We are at a 90% support level.

We are SO thankful for you! We desperately need your prayers and are extremely thankful for your interest and support of the work we are doing here in Hungary. Apart from your partnership we could not be doing what we are doing.
